Policy –

  • Admissions at Ulceby St Nicholas

The school’s current admission arrangements adhere to the published criteria contained in the North Lincolnshire Schools Guide – Admissions to schools.  A copy of this is available from school or from the Local Authority website (LA).

    1.         What is the earliest age my child can start school?

The school has an early admissions policy whereby children who attain the age of 5 years in the current academic year are able to start school in September of that year.

Open mornings are held in the Summer Terms when parents of new pupils can visit, meet the staff and see the school in action.  Children who are to start school in September are invited to spend two mornings in school in the Summer Term.  A further meeting for parents is held at this time in order for them to meet the staff that will be working with their children.

    2.         How about older pupils being admitted further up the school?

The maximum number of pupils school can accept in any one year group is 23.  Places are available providing this number is not exceeded and subject to the criteria published in the admissions guidance mentioned earlier.

Prospective parents are welcome to visit school at any time and we believe a visit while we are in session will be both enjoyable and informative.
