Ulceby St Nicholas C of E Primary School fully recognises its responsibility to safeguard protect the well-being of children. We all have a duty to keep children safe.

How do we keep children safe?

At Ulceby St Nicholas, we keep the children in our care safe by:

  • Having an up to date safeguarding and child protection policy which is reviewed on a regular basis
  • Ensuring the suitability of staff and volunteers who work with our children through stringent checking procedures
  • Promoting a culture in which concerns are readily shared with the appropriate staff.
  • Ensuring all staff and governors have the most up to date safeguarding and child protection training.
  • Sharing concerns with appropriate agencies and completing referrals when needed.
  • Ensuring that all visitors to school are aware of the importance of safeguarding and that they know how to pass on any concerns they may have.
What can I do if I have a concern about the safety, welfare or care of a pupil?

If you have a concern about a pupil, please do not hesitate to share it. You can contact Mrs Atkinson (Designated Safeguarding Lead) or Mrs Proctor (Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead) on 01469 588219.
